Performance Opportunities

Bring A Song Sessions  These take place at Anne's studio and are designed to help singers develop performing skills and/or try out new repertoire. The audience is small (seven or eight people) and made up of other participants. There is a chance for the singer to receive positive feeback from the audience.


Annual  Concert    This is held in the auditorium of The Brewhouse Arts Centre in Burton. It is a chance for singers to perform  for a larger audience in a staged concert.  This is open to the public as well as to family and friends. Performers sit in the audience in order to support and learn from each other.

Other Concerts     From time to time smaller concerts are arrannged e.g. in the bar area at the Brewhouse, to feature smaller groups of singers or individuals.

Vocal Festivals/Competitions    Students are encouraged to take part  as these provide invaluable performance opportunities and objective feedback .

Examinations   This is a different kind of performing opportunity.  Exams are a useful goal to work towards and much is learned along the way.  Students gain confdence and  are delighted when  the goal is achieved. Many of the higher grades are now accredited and post 16 students can earn extra UCAS points.
